1. What types of cases qualify for a CaseAdvance?
We can offer a CaseAdvance to plaintiffs in a wide array of personal injury cases, including auto accident, dog bite, trip/slip and fall, product liability, negligence and wrongful death.2. How long will it take to get my CaseAdvance?
We can qualify you for a Case Advance and determine your funding limit within 24 hours of receiving your application and a few documents from your attorney. If you qualify for a CaseAdvance, a check can be sent to you within 24 hours of receiving a signed purchase agreement.3. What happens if I lose my lawsuit?
Because the money you receive from CaseAdvance is a non-recourse investment and not a loan, you do not have any obligation to pay us anything if you don’t recover any money in your case.4. Am I required to use my CaseAdvance for a specific purpose?
No. We do not place any restrictions on how you use the funds you receive from CaseAdvance.5. Does CaseAdvance charge an application fee?
No. We will review your case free of charge to determine whether you qualify for a CaseAdvance. There is no obligation to repay us any fees unless your lawsuit is successful.6. Am I obligated to accept the money offered by CaseAdvance?
No. Even after you have been approved you are free to decline a CaseAdvance without any obligation to us. You may also request a CaseAdvance that is less than your approved funding limit.7. How is my attorney involved in the process?
Your attorney will provide us with basic information about your case so we can determine whether you qualify for a CaseAdvance. Once you have received a CaseAdvance, we periodically contact your attorney to inquire about the status of your case. We do not provide you with legal advice and are not involved with your attorney’s handling of your case.8. Is a CaseAdvance a loan?
No. CaseAdvance is a lawsuit investment company, not a lender. If you do not recover any damages from your case, we lose our investment and you are entitled to keep the CaseAdvance without repayment.9. How much do you charge?
Because we have substantial resources and experience analyzing the potential value of thousands of lawsuits, CaseAdvance offers extremely competitive rates and has the ability to fund cases that our competitors may not have the ability to underwrite. Our fees are determined on a case-by-case basis and are fully disclosed to both you and your attorney in a purchase agreement before you accept a CaseAdvance.10. Is a CaseAdvance right for me?
Whether a CaseAdvance is right for you depends on your personal financial circumstances. If you have a savings account or alternative sources of funds available to you such as a home equity loan, a CaseAdvance may not be your best option. On the other hand, if you have exhausted your resources and financial pressures are mounting, CaseAdvance can help you meet your financial obligations without entering into an unfavorable settlement.
